Other Information Collected

The only information we automatically collect is that related to the use of our web site. This information is anonymous and is gathered through our servers' log files. Information collected includes, but is not limited to: (i) IP Address; (ii) domain server; (iii) type of computer; and (iv) type of web browser (collectively "Traffic Data"). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you, but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving your experience on the eOmniForm.com web site.

How Your Personal Information Is Used

ScanSoft collects your information in order to record and support your participation in the use of our service, and therefore we must notify you via e-mail of certain events. These events include: (i) when you create an account we will send you an email with your account information; (ii) when you have successfully published a Form on the service, we will send you email with the Form address; and (iii) we will send you an email notifying you of the presence of data in your Form, according to the settings on the Form Options page for the Form. Voluntary information provided may be used as part of our effort to keep you informed about product upgrades, special offers, and other products and services of ScanSoft. If you enter a contest, information is collected to qualify the entry and contact you regarding the contest or prize awards. You can choose to receive promotional materials from us, by checking the appropriate box when you sign up for eOmniForm.com access. You can update this information at anytime. In addition, each message will also include instructions on how to "unsubscribe" from future mailings should you wish not to receive any additional promotional materials.

Use of Documents

The eOmniForm.com web site acts as a passive conduit for the distribution and receipt of the documents you submit for data collection and therefore will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of your documents unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ScanSoft; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of ScanSoft; or (3) protect the personal safety of its members or the public. You should also be aware (and hereby agree) that certain technical processing of and access to documents and their content by ScanSoft may be required to: (a) route the documents; (b) conform to connecting networks' technical requirements; and (c) determine the cause of error messages generated by problems in a document. The eOmniForm.com web site will store your documents on its servers for a limited time and will endeavor to purge old transmissions from its servers when the expiration period has run.
